Workstation Support Specialist

What you'll be doing
- Under the direction of management, load predefined operating system images to various media including disk, CD, DVD. Keep documentation of image information and activity. May apply patche, service pack and other upgrade to servers under the direction of the IT customer support manager. Add, change, delete user ID and password to various software application and system including but not limited to email, domain, open directory, and active directory. Generate and distribute business application data. May place and track equipment warranty repair request with various hardware vendor. May maintain form and supply inventory for consumable used by district based server and peripheral. Provide 2nd level support and backup for the help desk assistant. Provide customer service attitude with a positive and helpful demeanor sufficient to deal with users who may be frustrated or angry. Participate in all district offered training. Work closely with network engineer for coordination and support of network project. Provide level two support to district field service technician on workstation issue. Attend meeting and participate on committee and project as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- 1-2 years previous experience with computer systems and networks equivalent to those used at TD#3 (required). Technical certifications (preferred). Valid AZ driving license. Knowledge of district, federal and state rules and regulations governing school operations and software applications. Experience and/or training in computer operations, technical support, help desk or other relevant job skills.
