What you'll be doing
- Produce current magazine issues and write web-friendly display and SEO copy, plan a content rollout, track image or author rights for the web and syndication, review pages content management systems. Write or edit promotional copy for landing pages and newsletters; review and track daily and weekly traffic data. Attend magazine ideas meetings and liaise with print editors to generate web extras and solicit user generated content. Oversee and grow the magazine's social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram); work closely with social team; program Facebook account daily. Coordinate with print editors, legal, marketing and circulation teams to produce magazine sweepstakes. Maintain syndication partnerships. Report and write lifestyle features. Create video proposals and pre-interview talent for the own-show web video series.
What your background should be
- 3-5 years in an editorial role at a website or magazine. Strong promotional copywriting skills (homepage or cover-line writing, a plus). Experience working in a CMS; basic HTML. Understanding of metrics reporting and analysis; experience with data-driven programming. Highly organized.
