What you'll be doing
- Teller introduce customers to new products and services, and generate leads for other members of the sales team to close. Teller has her/his own scorecard with goals. Best teller constantly goes the extra mile to greet customers, make them feel welcome and also engage customers to learn about their financial needs. An excellent teller process between 20-25 customer transactions each hour with no mistakes through patience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures. Teller is responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. Under direct supervision, process customer transactions within established guidelines. Identify and makes sales referrals, recommend alternate channels, cross-sells bank services and products for company partners, provide excellent customer service. Duty may include safe deposit, merchant/vault, ATM processing, bonds and coupons, foreign currency and night drop. Teller will develop and improve her/his skills through training programs and regular feedback discussions with supervisors, which will help further her/his professional experience and improve her/his chances for even greater roles in the future. A teller position is the start of something really big.
