What your background should be

1-3 years of technical client support in an information technology environment experience. Ability to work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve business impacting infrastructure events. Proven success in discovering business impact, identifying root cause, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Experience communicating complex IT infrastructure technologies, issues and solutions to clients with varying levels of technical knowledge and understanding. Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment while influencing and motivating teammates. Strong written and verbal communications are required to work as a productive member of the team. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated capability to achieve results under pressure in a fast paced client driven environment. Willingness to interact extensively with clients. Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Windows compatible applications, Linux based systems. A+ or equal work experience. In-depth knowledge of RAID array configurations. Understanding of LAN/WAN concepts. Experience troubleshooting IBM compatible laptops, desktops, and servers. Ability to troubleshoot and differentiate between hardware/software problems. Server+ certification or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. Continuously sitting, talking, repetitive use of hands and arms, eye/hand coordination, fine manipulation, using effective verbal and written communication, handling stress and emotion, concentrating on tasks, keyboarding/typing. Occasionally standing, walking, driving and thinking analytically, making decisions, adjusting to changes, observing details. Occasionally bending over, pushing or pulling, lifting and carrying 1-25 lbs., reaching overhead, crouching, kneeling, balancing.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
