What you'll be doing
- Works with operations management to design and plan all systems moves, ads, and changes, based on operational needs. Sets up and conducts extensive controlled testing on all new technologies within the facility. Works with management to determine all possible operations scenarios, determines how the technology will operate, and makes technical adjustments as necessary. Trains all TSMs on new technologies. Prepares documentation and informational sheets to assist in the training process. Interacts with corporate IS groups on escalated issues, such as to restore service and to identify and correct core problems. Receives instructions and guidelines on operating procedures, and systems expertise on complex issues. Responsible for the ongoing technical support and efficient operation of all IS related infrastructure technologies in the distribution centers troubleshoots, repairs, and performs general maintenance, testing, installation, and upgrades to computer systems and peripheral equipment throughout the facility. Responsible for the general administration, installation, and relocation of all PBX telephone systems. May assist or act as a backup for IS staff, responsible for call center phone technology. Establishes user ID's and appropriate security levels for all business users within the facility. May also assist the corporate IS group by creating user setups on the AS/400 system for all business users within the company. Provides systems support for all computer automated distribution equipment, including printers and scanning, production, and conveyor systems. Responsible for developing a disaster recovery plan for the facility. Prepares status reports and documentation on all work requested and performed. Provides IS support to all other company. Distribution and equipment centers, as necessary. Maintains documentation and adequate inventory of equipment, system manuals and catalogs, and local software licensing. Tracks and expedites repair and replacement of damaged or outdated equipment and assists with depreciation tracking. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
