What you'll be doing
- Performs all functions related to specialty item preparation, counter service sanitation, and stocking of products. Purchases and merchandises specific specialty items for the department. Maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Provide excellent customer service. Perform all duties and responsibilities of specialty team member. Purchase specific specialty items for department as assigned by TL including but not limited to charcuterie, chocolate, beer, wine, cheese, housewares, etc. Responsible for achieving and exceeding margin and sales targets. Request and ensure proper signs for all sale items. Participate in regional promotions program. Process invoices and returns. Control spoilage and/or generate turn movement; and participate in monthly inventory. Comply with all regulations when assisting customers in selecting products that best suits their needs. Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
What your background should be
- Extensive specialty knowledge in cutting, production, and taste description. Ability to perform physical requirements of a position that requires a great deal of lifting and stacking of boxes. Ability to learn proper use of baler (age restrictions may apply) and all other equipment used during food preparation and clean up. Ability to get work well with others work as part of a team. Communicate and teach product knowledge to TM and customers. Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
