What you'll be doing
- Establishes client base of organizations, social groups, and through direct outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for the hotel. Ensures that predetermined sales call goals and revenues expectations are met or exceeded. Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures. Assists the director of sales and marketing with the implementation and achievement of the sales marketing plan. Attends and represents company at sports events, trade shows & networking events. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Follows up with proposals/contracts and group sales agreements. Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and in business attire. Performs other duties as assigned by the general manager and director of sales and marketing.
What your background should be
- Hotel sales experience preferred. Work effectively with other departments. Candidate must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
