What you'll be doing
- Thoroughly cleans and re-stocks an average minimum of 12 guest rooms per eight (8) hour shift, in compliance with established standards for cleaning of rooms. Completes all cleaning duties in designated areas, as assigned. Complies at all times with property standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Gains knowledge of proper use and care of all housekeeping equipment. Completes all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set up. Removes all trash and dirty linen from all guestrooms/baths. Reports all lost and found items to on-duty supervisor immediately. Reports any maintenance issues or concerns to supervisor promptly. Keeps all hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, swept and vacuumed. Prepares housekeeping cleaning cart for next day use. Assists with inventory on housekeeping supplies. Returns all borrowed items (i.e. irons/boards, hair dryer, etc.) to house attendant for safe return back to executive housekeeper. Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Gains knowledge of hotel facilities and events in order to answer questions from guests. Obtains and maintain complete understanding of all emergency situations and evacuations. Works cooperatively and in conjunction with the front desk, facilities, and other necessary departments, ensuring effective communication and information sharing. Ensures the security of all guestrooms and guest belongings while cleaning, to ensure non-registered guests are not allowed to enter an occupied room. Communicates effectively, including conveying information and ideas clearly.
