What you'll be doing
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the resort, staff and hours of each department's operation. Assist in entering group rooming lists, setting-up any group billing requirements and ensuring any special needs or requests are handled correctly. Assist in the handling of VIP, repeat guests and package amenities when requested. Sell and process gift certificates. Meet company guests' room rate expectations during the reservations process. Sell and reserve resort outlets during the reservations process and as required for packages which offer resort outlet elements. Achieve an 85% or above shop score monthly. Report any unusual occurrences and/or requests to the appropriate manager. Maintain knowledge of company safety and emergency procedures. Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to multi-task. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Team oriented and flexible. Knowledge of the Charlottesville area, local attractions and special events.
