Project Support Specialist

What you'll be doing

Prior to start of a project create budget documents and spreadsheets to track all project revenues and costs. Access various databases to compile cost information and include in financial reports. Maintain various budget, cost and revenue spreadsheets as changes occur so that up-to-date financial information is available to program manager and ship managers at all times. Work with program manager and ship managers to ensure that all data needed to complete job analysis report is updated and accurate in time for weekly submittal. Provide administrative support to program manager, ship manager, and various crafts people to ensure normal project management procedures are followed on all projects. Create and track checklists of required practices to ensure are projects being managed in accordance with standard procedures and practices. Interact with various support functions (QA, subcontracts management, safety, environmental, security, etc) to ensure functional roles are integrated into the projects consistently. Serve as a resource to project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management process and making improvement/changes. Ensure project control systems are in place and integrate project data for decision makers.

What your background should be

Experience in marine industry/ship repair preferred. Project management experience preferred PMP or PMP-CAPM certified preferred. High level computer skills including MS Office required.

Required Schooling / Training

BA/BS required.
