What you'll be doing
- Manage network participation, care with specialty network, care with DME provider and transfer to alternative level of care using knowledge of benefit plan design. Identify potentially unnecessary service and care delivery setting and recommend alternative if appropriate by analyzing clinical protocol. Provide high quality cost effective medical care. Work in conjunction with the medical director, quality improvement, utilization management and risk management. Comply with medical record and risk assessment documentation policy/procedure, quality initiative and electronic medical record usage. Review report regarding utilization and high risk patient and utilize the information in the delivery of quality, cost effective health care service. Coordinate and cooperate as part of the patient care team with the center administration, peer, clinical and non clinical staff. Maintain patient satisfaction standard. Attend all mandatory meeting. Adhere to center schedule and hour of operation.
What your background should be
- Able to obtain an active, unrestricted Florida medical license. Able to obtain an active, unrestricted DEA. Board certified or board eligible. Active medicare/medicaid provider number. Advanced work experience in a hospital or private practice. Experience working with the geriatric population. Bilingual:fluent in Spanish and English.
