What you'll be doing
- Interact with partners, train partners and work on joint opportunities. Support the local sales team in sales situations where technical help is needed. Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle (qualify the opportunity, sell the solution on its technical merits, write POC, respond to RFI or RFP, support complex implementations for large customers once the deal is closed, conduct on site deployments, ensure customer satisfaction and meet SLA commitments etc.). Transfer knowledge to both customers and partners (product demos, hands on training). Work closely with service providers on deployments of solutions conduct needs assessment and work with them to use companies solution as part of their commercial objectives in the market place. Create customer-facing technical collateral, documentation for knowledge base and website. Collect customer requests and pass them on to the product management team. Handle technical questions and requests from existing and prospective customers about products features and capabilities. Analyze customer problems by using remote access, file debugging, network captures and more. Recreate customer symptoms in a test lab environment lab and assist in troubleshooting and resolving product bugs. Follow up on customer cases or tickets through CRM system.
What your background should be
- Must have 3-5 years experience as a pre sales or post sales engineer in storage or a related industry with service providers and large enterprise customers. Strong presentation and technical analysis skills. Intense travel at least 50%. Perfectly spoken and written English skills. Have experience in creating, managing, troubleshooting ZFS storage pools and experienced with enterprise ACL, CIFS, NFS, AFP. Working knowledge of TCP or IP. Knowledge of DNS and other common IP protocols such as SMTP. Experienced with Unix operating systems such as Linux, Solaris, etc. 4 years VMware experience or certification.
Required Schooling / Training
- BSCS or MS degree.
