What you'll be doing

Pediatric anesthesiologist responsible for the general anesthesia, sedation and pain management need of infant and children. Evaluation of complex medical problem in infant and children when surgery is needed. Monitor patient vital sign, such as heart rate and body temperature, during surgical procedure. Plan and care for before and after surgery. Provide proper care and attention to children. Create a non threaten environment for children in the operating room. Pain control, if needed after surgery, either with intravenous (IV) medication or other anesthetic technique.

What your background should be

Board certified in anesthesia, pediatric fellowship must have completed at least 12 months. Total of five years experience in pediatric anesthesia or the last two years devoted to pediatric anesthesia. BLS, ACLS, any state license. Computer proficient, have experience in an academic center teaching residents and medical students both in the classroom and operating room setting.
