What you'll be doing

Prompt and regular attendance at work. Perform the necessary work of all functions pertinent to the preparing and equipping vehicles for timely deployment. Assign the appropriate vehicle and equipment items using inventory management software. Responsible for receiving and stocking inventory, monitoring par levels, purchasing recommendations, deliveries and other assigned projects. Communicate with supervision regarding issues involving equipment, vehicles and deployment. Perform maintenance on durable medical equipment as well as assuring all electronic equipment is fully charged. Maintain records of truck condition before and after each use. Report and log violations and discrepancies. Recover, clean, and prepare equipment from hospitals both in and out of Hillsborough county. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. General housekeeping duties such as sweep, mop, empty trash and biohazard containers. Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws (i.e. state and county inventory levels, HIPAA, and OSHA). Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of staff to ensure maximum communication and cooperation. Participate in departmental and company meetings as required. Attend continuing education and training to obtain information and data pertinent to materials operations. Perform other such duties as may be required.

What your background should be

Current driving license with clean history. Previous inventory control experience preferable. Knowledge on ems radio system and codes. Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication. Knowledge of mental health first aid. Ability to physically restrain violent psychiatric patients. Ability to understand and apply applicable policies and procedures. Ability to determine work priorities and insure proper completion of work assignment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to utilize problem solving techniques. Ability to work independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma or equivalent.
