What you'll be doing

Lead a geographically dispersed team of developers that creates reports, builds data ETL processes, responds to ad hoc queries, develops dashboards and maintains homegrown mini applications. Provide regular communication to the team in the form of meetings, one on one sessions, and written memo. Provide technical leadership, direction, and guidance as it relates to best practices and standards. Ensure that database standards are documented and maintained. Establish and maintain operational policies and standards. Create and execute plans for the periodic maintenance, upgrade, replacement and retirement of the product suite. understand client goals and requirements, clarify scope, estimate work effort, and determine resource requirements. Manage the relationship between the team and their internal customers. Regularly meet with internal customers to understand their challenges and gather feedback on the performance of the team and deliverables. Work across the organization to ensure that the right data is collected and processed to enable smart, data driven decisions.

What your background should be

Business intelligence experience with an in-depth knowledge of concepts and practices. Excellent understanding of business intelligence infrastructure. Ability to execute plans and deliver results. Able to work in a fast paced, intensive environment with multiple stakeholders and often competing requests for resources. Previous experience leading/managing a technical team. Prior experience in report development or database administration/management a must. Ability to understand project scope, evaluate resources requirements, estimate level of effort, prioritize projects, create plans, delegate work, and monitor progress.

Required Schooling / Training

High school diploma/GED is required.
