What you'll be doing

Supervises and directs laboratory technical and administrative policies, procedures, and personnel. Assures quality control, resource allocation, and team-mate education. Manages daily operation of assigned sections of the laboratory. Reviews quality control practices, scheduling, equipment and record keeping maintenance, and supply inventory. Assists in budget formulation and execution, payroll, and personnel matters. Recommends resource allocation, equipment purchases, and contracted services. Coordinates new team-mate orientation, team-mate files, and team-mate technical abilities. Maintains technical abilities to evaluate, instruct, and assist in assigned sections of the laboratory. Assists in updating and maintaining department policies and technical manuals.

What your background should be

ASCP registered medical technologist required. 5 or more years of supervisory or managerial experience required preferably in a clinical hospital laboratory setting. Ability to organize and motivate personnel.
