Inventory Planning Manager

What you'll be doing
- The inventory planning manager is responsible for manage third party contractor cycle time in order to meet corporate DOH goal and minimize the companies cost of capital investment. Responsible for oversee commodity inventory to reduce or minimize potential obsolete material. Responsible for ensure the proper SKU mix by balancing actual sales with forecasted sales and coordinate cross functional meeting between finance, marketing and BIS, in order to meet plan cost of goods sold target which has a direct impact to the companies operating margin. Interact extensively with external and internal project team, senior management and third party contractor or raw material supplier, quality, regulatory, legal, new business development, sales, engineering, finance, marketing, customer service, distribution, custom and logistic to assure that supply chain logistic activity and initiative properly represent and communicate. Provide timely and appropriate financial cost assessment and budgetary analysis of all existing product line. Directly responsible for develop all inventory purchase order, for all of client companies domestic and international facility that manufacture or package client companies product. Participate and provide decision making on the third party contractor assessment selection team for new and existing product. Identify continuous improvement and process improvement opportunity. Review area for cost saving opportunity, make recommendation and lead project where appropriate. Assist with the development of departmental process or policy as necessary. Maintain and optimize sourcing strategy with 3rd party contract packaging organization.
What your background should be
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical operations experience. Proficient in MRP system planning, with expertise in SAP. Strong knowledge of finance, marketing and customs activities. Experience with third party contract packaging facilities. APICS and or CPM certification is desirable. Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.). Carrying, handling and reaching for objects. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while traveling. Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. Some international travel may be required.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
