What you'll be doing
- Confer with potential customers regarding needs and advise customers on types of VMI capabilities and product offerings. Handle day to day service requirements from VMI customers, this includes: order entry, expediting, quoting, claim negotiation, follow up, updating customer records at a minimum. Inside sales manager should approve any deviation from price list. Discuss price list requirements with sales manager & supply chain manager. Direct and coordinate activities involving the inside sales/customer service team and its needs. Advise management of requirements an changes as it pertains to the work level and staffing level. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts. Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure sales program's success across teams and departments throughout the company. Serve with other departmental management to facilitate relationships among members of these various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
What your background should be
- The incumbent should have experience in related field. Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact face-to-face internally and via e-mail or telephone with external customers. Additionally, requires the ability to effectively communicate findings and other relevant data to upper management. Requires strong math skills. Requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, circumference, and volume. Requires the use of common computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create hard and soft copy communications and presentations.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree.
