Human Resources Technician

What you'll be doing

The human resources technician will report to the director of human resources or assigned staff. Serves internal and external customers with quality service. Inputs data for monthly, weekly and semi-monthly personnel action form(s). Files, maintains and creates all city employee records. Prepares semi-monthly payroll and leave. Maintains office staff's leave reports and files. Performs accounts receivable and accounts payable for education program, travel mileage and other office financial transactions. Responsibilities include: collecting, inputting and maintaining extensive human resource data. Runs monthly reports from human resources information system. Coordinates employee elections. Maintains office supplies and storage area. Records board meetings and serve as to support office staff. Coordinates with city departments to ascertain positions availability. Reviews documents to determine budgeted positions. Tracks and collects roster revisions. Communicates and coordinates extensively with timekeepers and field staff. Assists with updating weekly job listings. Serves as reception for the department.

Required Schooling / Training

Associates of arts degree.
