What you'll be doing
- Answers the hotel main phone line utilizing telephone etiquette skills. Acquires and relays information that personalizes the guest stay. Provides answers to guests questions and follows through on all requests. Takes food and beverage orders for in room dining. Manages paperwork and requests as designated by front office manager, assistant front office manager, and front office supervisors. Manages the guest preference hotline. Understands applicable emergency procedure and evacuation protocol. Maintains close and harmonious working relationships with all hotel departments. Checks guest history for past information on the guest to provide personalized service. Maintains knowledge of room types and the protocol for selling rooms based on restrictions and length of stay.
What your background should be
- Background in a luxury hospitality environment or a related field is strongly preferred, but willingness to learn the aspects of personalized and luxury service is more important. Background in customer service is preferred. Excellent verbal and written skills. Neat and clean appearance. Ability to follow through impeccably on details. Great enthusiasm and passion for making people happy. Ability to work in a team environment.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma.
