What you'll be doing
- Under general supervision, as part of a financial team, provide high-level financial services including budget administration, analysis, projections, reporting, long and short range planning, rate review and oversight of recharge units, contracts and grants management, proposal submission, fiscal closing, state and extramural accounting, current and base budget. Responsible for general ledger reconciliation and adjustment for faculty and all other principal investigators in the department of evolution and ecology, center for population biology, population biology grad group and the coastal and marine sciences institute.
What your background should be
- Experience with sub-contracts, collaborative, multi-campus extramural award proposal submission and administration. Financial management experience to prepare and submit proposals, administer grants, contracts and funds, including clear and concise budget reports and needed follow through. Experience interpreting and applying various contract and granting agency guidelines, departmental and University policy and procedures. Experience with campus overhead calculations, effort reporting and cost share reporting, including on-line system navigation. Skill in operating personal computer with experience using current Windows operating system, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat software, internet and email.
