What you'll be doing
- Validate patient insurance coverage and type of benefits. Utilize probing and problem solving methods to obtain all benefit details. Obtain plan documents and summary plan descriptions. Provide instructions as needed to internal departments to ensure prompt resolution and response to flight coordination. Use advanced interpersonal communication skills to engage and develop a relationship with insurance companies. Provide summary of coverage and easy to understand responses to flight coordination. Validate demographic/insurance information entered in system is accurate and completed on a timely basis. Identify and resolve discrepancies with patient eligibility/insurance coverage. Assist in maintaining procedure manuals. Assist with creating and generate reports as scheduled or when needed. Utilize the department team to discuss, enhance, and resolve issues.
What your background should be
- Must have excellent organization, project management and oral/written communications skills. Excellent customer service skills with expert understanding of pay or guidelines.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree
