What you'll be doing
- Promote the division goal of applying style, formatting, and other client and program management requirements through assigned review of test templates, test questions, test forms, ancillary test materials, response documents, test administration and coordination manuals, and released test materials. Play a proactive role in the production editing, proofreading/revision checking, copy-matching, and resolving outstanding queries. Follow contract-specific style guides and related information and share this information. Work closely with the editorial manager and project managers, as well as graphics, desktop publishing, and database staff to promote consistent, accurate, and open communication of all pertinent information relating to staff duties and contract specs and requirements. Conduct first read/final QC/fatal flaw read of assigned contract material before approving it to go to press.
What your background should be
- One to three years of experience in publishing, including copymatching, proofreading, copyediting, and working with a layout, graphics, and desktop publishing staff is required. Experience with electronic editing in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor degree
