What you'll be doing

Lead the development of athletics fundraising goals and work in close coordination with university development to develop fundraising strategies to meet strategic priorities. Meet with donors and prospective donors as part of on-going fundraising activities. Provide visionary leadership and role modeling for sustaining a culture of transparency, professionalism, integrity and respect at all levels. Participate and oversee the selection and management of coaching and administrative personnel to support the myriad of athletic operations and to ensure successful athletic programs. Preparation of long-term program and financial plans to establish the direction and goals of the division, which includes current program capabilities and proper assessment of aspirations for future programs. Development and management of the annual operating budget for the department of athletics. Coordination and oversight of athletic facilities. Provide leadership and direction regarding athletic conference relations and scheduling. Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with faculty, administrators, staff, student body, student government association, alumni, friends, booster clubs, and the local community regarding athletics at university. Support the professional development of the administrative and coaching staffs, promote their accomplishments, and establish positive morale and relationships. Supervise all athletic staff and recruiting and evaluating head coaches.

What your background should be

Applicant should have 10+ years of progressive athletic administration experience is required. Understanding of the New York metropolitan market. Ability to communicate and integrate with the local community. Collaborative management style.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
