What you'll be doing

Company is proactively seeking desktop support candidates in the Indianapolis, IN area. The desktop support technician role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. Ideally this person will be able to communicate effectively with upper management and with their team members. Candidate must also have excellent customer service skills approaching and working with clients. The successful candidate must have exceptional technical ability within a windows OS, with both windows XP and windows 7. The candidate must have experience with imaging machines.

What your background should be

Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs. Conduct research on desktop products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend products for purchase. Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs, desktop hardware and related products. Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system. Install and configure new IT equipment.
