What you'll be doing
- The candidate is responsible for cooking Asian and Western meals. Executes, and occasionally provides instructions on, food production activities, e.g., proper cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, cooking of food items etc. Participates in the development of food products and menus as needed for menu presentations. Supports training of kitchen cooks and ensure compliance with recipe specifications maintains and monitors quality, conducts quality control checks according to HACCP regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by management if required.
What your background should be
- Strong culinary background in preparing authentic Western, Korean, Chinese, and Thai cuisine. At least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP). Understanding of various cooking techniques. Ability to speak, read, and understands in English. Ability to cook meals according to detailed specifications. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
