What you'll be doing

Consulting Systems Engineer is responsible for technical pre sales support and channel partners sales teams focused on content security solutions including web security (web gateways), email security, endpoint, encryption and firewall security. Proactively seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts. Present technical value proposition to customers and partners through webinars and client presentations proactively drive new and incremental business opportunities. Provide company product education to our direct and channel partners. Conducts discovery workshops and white board sessions with company direct and channel partnersEnsure success of customer evaluations. Documentation of client feature requests and issues for product management and customer support. Drive the architecture and design of customer content security solutions. Develop technical knowledge of company and associated technologies.

What your background should be

10 plus years of relevant professional experience with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of pre Sales Systems Consulting experience and 3 plus years of content security (web security, mail security, web gateways, endpoint, encryption, firewalls, intrusion).Knowledge of web proxies, caching, Layer 4 to 7 switching. Acquaintance of network security (firewall, IPS, network admission control). Knowledge of SMTP Relays and anti spam techniques required.Windows Active Directory services & protocols (NTLM SSP, NTLM basic, NTLM v2 etc.) a plus. Knowledge of networking protocols: HTTP, DNS, FTP, SSH, TCP/IP, LDAP, WCCP, SMTP Experience with enterprise messaging, and security. Ability to travel up to 30 to 40 percent of the time.

Required Schooling / Training

BS/CS/EE degree or equivalent education.
