What you'll be doing

Develop a full working knowledge of the operation of the hotel, including food and beverage, guest service and reservation. Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policy and SOP and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policy by the sales team. Meet or exceed set goal. Operate the sales department within established sales expense budget. Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled. Initiate and follow up on lead. Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program. Monitor production of all top account and evaluate trend within the market. Regularly contact existing account based on the tracing frequency of the account coverage program. Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goal as assigned by the director of sales. Invite client to the hotel for entertainment, lunch, tour and site inspection. Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with client, exhibiting key feature and benefit of the property. Meet and greet onsite contact. Develop networking opportunity through active participation in community and professional association, activity and event. Review meeting planner evaluation with the director of sales to ensure that issue receive follow up. Entertain client. Handle inquiry as part of inquiry day program. Perform other duties as requested by management.

What your background should be

At least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience in a specific market. 1 year of related experience. Must have a valid driving license in the applicable state. Must be skilled in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing. Long hours sometimes required.

Required Schooling / Training

4 years college degree.
