What you'll be doing
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change. Greet customers entering establishments. Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas. Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners. Provide a prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience. Assist customers with purchases and fuel transactions. Restocking merchandise and perform job related duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and a happy attitude are essential. Cash Handling Skills, must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
