Broker Approval Specialist

What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the approval and ongoing recertification and monitoring of the company wholesale mortgage brokers. Verifies brokers are properly licensed and comply with associated state and local regulations. Perform all duties in accordance with the company policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. Obtains, verifies and analyzes new broker and recertification applications as well as supporting documentation. Applies internal control procedures to determine credit worthiness and market reputation of applicant broker. Obtains and reviews local, state and national licenses as required. Conducts fraud searches. Reviews investor exclusionary lists. Works closely with wholesale operations and sales to maintain compliance and develop increased client relations. Assists departmental support staff when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Requires high level of organizational skills and ability to work on several files simultaneously. Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of wholesale mortgage lending. Constant contact with brokers and internal office staff. Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong customer service skills. Ability to handle detailed assignments. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
