What you'll be doing
- Upon arrival, greets and assists guests by helping unload luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage or using a luggage cart. Upon departure, assists the guest by transporting luggage from room to lobby, and helping the guest load luggage into vehicle. Responds to guest needs by promptly delivering laundry, newspapers, iron & ironing board, additional linens, etc., in person. Responds to guest questions, issues and problems regarding transportation, hotel services and local events, points of interest and activities. Maintains written log recording these requests and deliveries. Responds to inquiries and promotes the hotels services, in person and on telephone, by explaining products/services. Provides the guest with up-to-date hotel information in order to enhance customer relations. Keeps abreast of local activities and the area's establishments in order to answer questions, recommends and gives directions. Cleans lobby areas and entrances and maintains free of debris in order to present a clean and attractive facility to customers.
What your background should be
- Must have general knowledge of basic customer service skills and be fluent in oral and written English. Must have knowledge of local establishments, businesses and the surrounding community in general. Must have vision ability see objects and people at a distance. Must be able to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems.
Required Schooling / Training
- High school diploma.
