What you'll be doing
- Assist general manager in day-to-day store operations. Learn all aspects of store operations by assisting manager and providing day-to-day direction to other store teammates. Greet the customer within 20 feet or 20 seconds of entering the store. In absence of store manager, assume responsibility for day-to-day activities of the store, such as sales goals, customer service, training, expense controls, conducting store meetings, etc. Support sales efforts of the stores full or part time outside sales professionals. Ensure adherence to store safety and security policies by all store associates. Support teammates in their training opportunities, enabling immediate application to daily work. Keep current on all required training. Review, understand, and follow store procedures, serving as a role model to ensure compliance by all store associates. Perform other duties as assigned.
What your background should be
- Three years of experience working in the automotive aftermarket. Customer service experience or other related experience in providing daily direction to a work team. Must meet all applicable state-specific driving license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle to perform delivery duties. Previous work experience in the store with progressive responsibilities in leading the day-to-day operations of the store may be substituted for education requirements. Demonstrated self-starter and a motivated individual, willing to learn new skills and gain knowledge about all aspects of store operations.
