What you'll be doing

Provide admission service as well as provide a safe environment for client in residential treatment program. Implement treatment plan and coordinate activity for children or adolescent admitted to client company in order to achieve positive outcome and to provide a basis for those client to function successfully in the community. Manage BHO or insurance or contract for admission in cooperation with external stakeholder to ensure all information and process are completed to support billing, including acquiring initial authorization and collect insurance information. Complete the pre admit screening process with the emergency reporter or the emergency room reporter. Perform all other duties as assigned.

What your background should be

Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, including computer skills. Ability to convey youth needs at admission to the multidisciplinary team and implement an efficient admissions procedure and process that is customer friendly to the referral source, parents and youth. Knowledge of psychological, behavioral and social systems principles, family systems theory and interventions. Ability to facilitate group activities. Ability to teach and work with mentally ill clients. Experience in mental health or related field in inpatient, residential, crisis prevention, juvenile corrections, or other similar settings.
